Although CCCP has limited resources we will make every effort to involve and support organisations and projects which engage directly with young people. To do this we intend to work closely with partners.

Keep an eye on this page for detailed announcements about various events, project and initiatives starting with Youth Art Exhibition in the City

The first exhibition of young people's art has been placed in the windows of an empty shop in the City. There will be good coverage in the media, however here we show two more of the proud artists & quite right too!! The first shop to display the work is in Kings Square thanks to the support of the Kings Walk Management. We have now removed the exhibition but hope access to other sites can be negotiated.

More works are welcome from schools, youth groups or individuals. Our plan is to put youth art in empty shop frontages throughout the City Centre. This not only adds colour and vibrancy to the street scene but gives young people the confidence to believe that their work matters and is important enough to be seen & enjoyed by the public.

Young People's Sports Taster Day - this event took place on the 12th September 2010. Based on Bakers Field young people turned up to participate and receive advice and guidance by qualified coaches leading taster sessions in tennis, street football, netball & basketball. A great success thanks to the partnership between CCCP and Young Gloucestershire. For details of numbers attending the event and their comments do contact us.

Youth Involvement Day 27th July 2010 - this event was a great success thanks to our Partners Young Gloucestershire. It was attended by up to 200 young people, 50% of whom were between the ages of 13 and 18.

Other than lots of activities it was an opportunity to gather invaluable information about young peoples' views and opinions. This information will help not only Young Gloucestershire but also the CCCP plan future projects.
